In the evening on January 4th, the last show of Princess Jincheng’s 1st season was given at its theatre to a full house. The 1st season came to a perfect end to constant applause. The second season will start on March 20th, 2020.
Thanks to this whole new choice for Tibet’s winter tourism, Lhasa finally has a show that runs in winter. It constitutes a crucial driver for Lhasa’s night-time economy, adding to the diversity of leisure and entertainment activities at night.
The show’s supporting facilities are about to be developed to form an ecosystem of cultural tourism consumption and give tourists more immersive cultural and consumption experience. Meanwhile, Princess Jincheng will work in synergy with National-level 4A Scenic Area Princess Wencheng Tibetan Culture Park in a bid to fully energize regional economic development, work toward the heights of Tibet’s theatrical culture and night-time economy and advance the upgrading of cultural tourism in Tibet.
Furthermore, the project also stimulates local employment and income growth and helps locals to fight against poverty. The final completion of the entire project will contribute to the employment, direct or indirect, of nearly 3000 people. It will also create over 100 jobs specially for the poor who live in the placement buildings located in Tibet Cultural, Creative and Tourism Park. All this will contribute to achieving the targets of winning the battle against poverty and building the country into a moderately prosperous society in all respects in 2020.
