On April 10, an around-30-member delegation of Xichang’s CPC & governmental organs visited Usunhome to discuss the progress in implementing Xichang·Jianchang Ancient Town project. The delegation was headed by Li Jun, Secretary of Xichang Municipal CPC Committee (hereinafter referred to as XMCC), and Ma Tinggui, Vice Secretary of XMCC & Mayor of Xichang. Members of the delegation included Song Li (Vice Secretary of XMCC, Director of Administration of Qionghai Lushan Scenic Area), Chen Lu (member of XMCC Standing Committee & Vice Mayor of Xichang), Dang Xiaogang (member of XMCC Standing Committee & Director of XMCC General Office), Tang Jun (member of XMCC Standing Committee & Director of Publicity Department) and Liu Yufei (member of XMCC Standing Committee). Qiu Wei, Chairman of Usunhome Group and of Usunhome Cultural Tourism, attended the meeting held to receive them.
“Usunhome specializes in cultural industries for which it has true passion.” The two parties first briefed each other on the progress on each side. According to Secretary Li Jun, Xichang, one of the two engines of Panzhihua-Xichang Economic Zone, has ushered in a new era of tourism: it ranks high among cities that contend for the honor “Renowned Sichuan City”; what’s more, it has earned the privilege of hosting Daliangshan International Theater Festival permanently. Sichuan Provincial CPC Committee and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government both have high hopes for this project whose mission is to upgrade Xichang’s cultural industries and innovate the protection and development of famous historic towns. Secretary Li Jun stressed that both parties should pass the preparation phase as soon as possible and carry the project out quickly.
