On September 18th, Sichuan Cultural Tourism Development Forum & the award ceremony of “Sichuan’s Top 10 Cultural Tourism Landmarks” was held in the city of Nanchong, Sichuan. The 10 landmarks unveiled were selected jointly by Cover.cn and West China Metropolis Daily. The selection was overseen by China Newspaper Association, the Publicity Department of Sichuan Provincial CPC Committee and Sichuan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce. Usunhome Avant-garde Theater·Stolen Heart is one of such landmarks. Qiu Wei, Chairman of Usunhome Group and of Usunhome Cultural Tourism and producer of Stolen Heart, got the honorary title “Sichuan’s Top 10 Cultural Tourism Leaders”.
It is reported that the public had fervently participated in the voting both online and offline since its launch on August 19th. The voting was available on multiple online platforms such as Toutiao.com, Tencent, Sina Weibo and Wechat. The total of nearly two million votes from over 15 million views is broadly representative of the public opinion.
Since its debut on June 8th this year, the world-class large-scale immersive play Stolen Heart has had rapturous reception. This has also made Usunhome Avant-garde Theater, a massive interactive performing space, a popular must-go. In addition to local Chengdunese and Sichuanese residents, the play has attracted young people from all corners of the country. The theater, Usunhome Art Gallery and other facilities inside East Lake Park constitute East Lake Contemporary Urban Art Complex, giving a strong artistic feel.
According to the producer Mr Qiu Wei, Stolen Heart has a long run in Usunhome Avant-garde Theatre, and the play and the theatre are a perfect match. “This theatrical piece is meant to depict the temperament of this ever-evolving city of Chengdu and to present everyone with their own versions of “Chengdu Story”that will leave behind unforgettable memories of Sichuan.
Chairman Qiu Wei considers the award a recognition of Stolen Heart and of Usunhome’s mission to “pass on cultural treasures through cultural industries and show confidence through good market performance”. The company will keep striding forward with enterprise and carry out more quality cultural and tourism projects, helping to strengthen the soft power and impact of Sichuan’s cultural and tourism industries.
